The two resorts on the island are Plantation Island Resort and Musket Cove Resort and between them both are six swimming pools, two restaurants, two cafes and four bars. Every guest on the island is welcome to eat, swim or play wherever they choose, and anyone staying at either resort can hire a kayak, banana boat or jet ski.
Plantation Island Resort is one of Fiji's oldest resorts. It covers 23 acres of tropical landscaped gardens, coconut palms and has 7km of white sandy beaches. It's a place for everyone from romantic couples to families and groups.
Musket Cove Resort features island-style accommodation of traditional but refurbished thatched bures and spacious villas set amongst tall coconut palms. The resort overlooks a sheltered lagoon, which is a haven for visiting yachts from around the world. The resort prides itself on its range of activities, especially those involving yachts and boats.
If it's nightlife you're after, the event of the week is the pig on the spit every Thursday at Musket Cove at $30 a head. You'll also see traditional Fijian dancers.
