Castaway Island is a four star resort in the Mamanuca group of more than 300 Fiji islands. The island's 174 acres are covered with lush tropical vegetation, surrounded by white sand beaches and encircled by vibrant coral reefs.

Castaway has been going for almost forty years, and is the type of destination that people will keep going back to. Whether you decide to windsurf, banana boat, paddleboard or sail a catamaran around the lagoon, it's all easily done just off the beach in front of the main resort building.

Try the exhilaration of parasailing over the sparkling waters surrounding the island or jump on a jetski and experience the rush of 30 mph on water! The resort also has a great pool which is a perfect for the whole family to relax. There's a tennis court and volley ball and touch football are also played on the beach. Board games are also available for those who prefer something less energetic.

Guests can also go island hopping in style on Fiji's fastest speedboat, 'Teivovo'. Cruising around the neighbouring Mamanuca Islands with a delicious champagne picnic lunch is a must do activity while you are on Castaway Island.

The Sokia, meaning Angel Fish in Fijian, is Castaway Diving's custom-built, 30ft aluminium dive boat. The Sokia is a mono-hull, powered by twin 200hp four stroke outboard engines, making her one of the fastest and most stable platforms from which to dive in Fiji. The Sokia is fully surveyed and equipped for safety and can take up to 18 divers quickly and comfortably to any of the many dive sites surrounding Castaway Island. See the amazing tropical fish and the reef sharks!

Castaway offers sixty six spacious, traditionally thatched Fijian style bures (bungalows) with a choice of beach front, ocean view or island location. All bures feature one king size bed and most include two additional single beds in their configuration, with those bures comfortably sleeping up to four persons. All bures have a large ensuite bathroom including separate shower, toilet and vanity area complete with hairdryer and toiletries with a Fijian flair.

The resort has 3 bars, one in the dining area, one at the pool, and one at the front of the Resort, the Sundowner. The Sundowner Bar is the best place to have a cocktail and watch the sunset. The Sundowner Bar is open for drinks, gourmet pizzas and snacks from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, with happy hour from 5:00 pm to 6.30 pm. During happy hour the Sundowner Bar is a child free environment.
