Weather for Leura

Leura is an historic town packed with quaint little tea houses, unique craft shops, turn-of-the-century buildings and beautiful gardens.

The quieter alternative to Katoomba, it’s situated just off the highway but retains a relaxed village-like atmosphere.

Restaurants abound, from gourmet delis and family-style cafes to upscale establishments and trendy contemporary spots. There’s also the famous Candy Store, which boasts a massive range of candies, liquorice and chocolates.

Set at the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park, Leura offers magnificent views out to Mt Solitary and surrounds. At the end of Everglades Avenue is Everglades Historic House, a fabulous 1930’s retreat set in 12.5 acres of European-style gardens and native Australian bushland.

Leura also hosts one of Australia's finest toy and railway museums, housed within the Leuralla mansion. The museum features a huge collection of toys, dolls, bears and model railways.
