Weather for Wollongong & Illawarra

The Illawarra Region lies just an hour south of Sydney, and stretches from the Royal National Park to the Shoalhaven River, and encompasses the City of Wollongong. The area is famed for its beautiful beaches, spectacular rocky coastlines and stunning scenic lookouts.

Located just 82km south of Sydney, Wollongong City is the 3rd largest city in NSW. The centre of town thrives with major shopping centres, specialty stores, cafes and restaurants. Also here is one of the southern hemisphere’s largest Buddhist temples.

Kiama, 12 km south of Sydney is famous for its Blowhole and spectacular coastline, the view as you drive into the town from the north is absolutely stunning! You will find both open sea beaches and protected coves with calm water.

Originally famed for its coal mining & steel production, this region boasts thriving towns, a large university, 5 star hotels, guesthouses, caravan parks, galleries and beautiful beaches.
