Set in the heart of the Bellinger Valley, surrounded by lush hills & deep rivers, the gorgeous town of Bellingen is fast becoming an arts capital for the area.

The local monthly market is the perfect showcase of the town's exceptional artists and craftspeople, and you can sample delicious produce at the many renowned restaurants & cafes.

Local festivals include Bellingen Jazz & Blues Festival on the 3rd weekend of August, Bellingen Global Carnival on the 1st w/e of October, and Stamping Ground Dance Festival in mid January.

The market-style main street is a quaint mix of traditional stores, cosy eateries and colonial architecture. The pub has been elegantly restored with alfresco dining, and on weekends almost the whole town spills out of its doors.

Bellingen is surrounded by farms set on fertile river pastures and is close to Dorrigo for bush walking and scenic drives. Further afield are Cathedral and Dorrigo National Parks filled with interesting rock formations and native wildlife.

At Rainforest Visitor Centre you can walk the Skywalk over the forest canopy, or strike out on your own by following one of the walks through the park. There are a variety of short and longer trails on offer, suitable for all ages.
