The major access point for the wonderful Myall Lakes, Bulahdelah is about 100 kilometres north of Newcastle on the mid-north coast of NSW. Bulahdelah means "meeting of the waters" in the regions Aboriginal language.
Rainforest abounds in the area, and several days could easily be wasted away lazily exploring the diverse natural terrain of the district. Bulahdelah and it's surrounds is home to the Myall Lakes National Park, five beautiful State Forests with several lookouts and trails, including the Myall Lakes and the Myall River. Due to the regions magnificent scenery, the recreational opportunities are endless from water skiing to mountain climbing. In the township, excellent shopping outlets, restaurants and cafes, licensed clubs and sporting facilities are a great way to spend the day if you feel like something a little less strenuous.
