With a population of around 600, the village of Nabiac is situated on the Wallamba River just 24km south of Taree and 25km west of Forster/Tuncurry.

Flowing through the heart of the town, the Wallamba River provides many great spots for a stroll, family picnic, or lazy afternoon fishing - flathead and Bream are the most commonly caught fish here but chances are that other types are populating the river.

The town of Nabiac dates back to the 1880's, however it wasn't recognised as a town until 1952. Some of the beautiful historic buildings have been preserved and restored, while others are crumbling and falling down. Nabiac serves as a reminder for how towns on the north coast once were.
