Located on Australia's most easterly point, Byron Shire is well known for its premier music festivals, amazing beaches, imposing lighthouse, lush hinterland, and alternate healing practices.

Drawn to the area's relaxed lifestyle; a massive migration of people has occurred in the last 10 years, transforming it into a centre for arts, education, alternative health, surfing, music and food. Byron has come a long way from its past as a base for dairy farms and a whaling station.

Just 10mins inland from Byron Bay, Bangalow is a trendy country village with unique heritage style. The 4th Sunday of each month sees people from all around the area flock to the Bangalow Markets, where you’ll find a diverse range of unique produce, food stalls and quirky design pieces.

Suffolk Park - once known as being the place next door to Byron Bay - is now a recognised location in its own right. The suburb boasts the newly refurbished Suffolk Pub (a great spot to catch up with friends), an aroma filled bakery, and a couple of great little restaurants... plus the beach.

Nearby Mullumbimby is set against the magnificent backdrop of Mount Chincogan and the famous Mount Warning. This original 70s hippie village is home to great organic shops, friendly cafes and one of the most popular pubs in the area.

In Byron Bay you can enjoy a variety of water sports such as scuba diving or snorkelling at Julian Rocks Marine Reserve, dolphin kayaking, and kite surfing. There are a number of local surf schools in town, giving you no excuse not to learn.

Explore the beautiful scenery of Broken Head on the track that starts near the caravan park. Walk the track to the Cape Byron Lighthouse and enjoy Pacific Ocean views. Dive Julian Rocks Marine Reserve, or join the crowds in the surf at the Pass, Wategos or Tallows.
