Historic Hay was part of the Cobb & Co era and an important town during the hey-day of the river boat trade on the Murrumbidgee, Murray and Darling Rivers.
Today, Hay is renowned for it's sheep breeding, wool growing, crops, and historic buildings.
Surrounded by a vast track of land known as the Hay Plains, the town centre is a welcome stop between Sydney and Adelaide or Brisbane and Melbourne.
