Berridale is a regional town centre located between Cooma and Jindabyne in the Snowy River area. Berridale serves as an inland tourism destination close to the snowfields, and is a popular stopping place for winter sports enthusiasts as they make their way to the snowfields at Thredbo, Jindabyne, Charlotts Pass, Perisher and Smiggin Holes.

The town is also popular in the summer months, with many outdoor activities on offer that allow you to enjoy the magnificent snowy mountains with their crisp clean air and beautiful scenery. Activities such as bush walking and horse riding through the mountains are popular, as is fishing at the Eucumbene Trout Farm.

Nestled within the spectacular snowy mountains, Berridale is surrounded by a diverse environment of mountain ranges that feature centuries-old granite boulder formations, lush rolling hills, plains of wild flowers and wooded bushland. A historic town, Berridale features buildings dating back to the gold rush, including a school house built in 1883 which can be seen as you follow heritage walk around town.

Although it lies just below the snow line, Berridale does have the potential for snow and has clearly defined seasons, with temperatures ranging from a high of 40 degrees in the summer to a crisp -5 degrees in the winter.
