Weather for Narooma

Narooma graces the entrance to the scenic Wagonga Inlet on the NSW far South Coast. Pristine beaches rim the foreshores of the town's ancient volcanic coastline. Dominating Narooma's southwest bush and farm landscape, Gulaga (Mt Dromedary) towers over the village.

Head to Narooma and find yourself spoilt for choice when it comes to its waterways, marked by a host of beaches, inlets and lakes. No surprises then that seafood is plentiful here. If you head into Narooma from the north, seeing the combination of high hills and inviting shorelines is one of the best sights in New South Wales.

Things worth doing include:

Narooma Markets at Nata Oval, Narooma - Held on the 4th Sunday of each month from 8.30am to 1pm
Montague Island Light House: The lighthouse has been operating since 1881. There were originally three lighthouse-keepers with their families on the island. The homes remain, one of which is being restored to its original state and there are plans to turn it into a museum. The light, originally kerosene-powered, was converted to electricity in 1969 and then to automatic solar power in 1986, eliminating the need for the keepers.
