Bawley Point is situated almost half way between Ulladulla and Batemans Bay. The landscape is still close to the same condition that Captain Cook saw in his voyage in 1770. The coastline is characterised by long stretches of beach with white sand and land marked by the Pacific Ocean. Various points and capes with small sheltered beaches, such as the scene of Bawley Point, break these long expanses of coastline.

Bawley Point is a fairly small township, not built up or urbanised. It is the ideal place to get away from the typical, modern tourist centres. The region offers quaint B&B's, cottages as well as motel and caravan park accommodation. Bawley Point does have a couple of fine restaurants and provides many opportunities for outdoor recreation and a traditional family holiday.

Activities worth doing while in Bawley Point include:

Murramarang National Park - a unique coastal park protecting beautiful Spotted Gum and Burrawang forests on the slopes of Mt Durras as it drops into the sea

Horse riding, mountain bike tours, tennis and other facilities are available locally, while a much broader range of entertainment and services are available within a 1/2 hour drive, from Ulladulla to the north or Batemans Bay in the south

There are many superb camping and caravan parks, most located right on the beach and designed to provide the perfect atmosphere for a family holiday
