Moreton Bay is a stunning expanse of sheltered blue waters to the east of Brisbane. Dotted with unspoilt islands - including one of the world's largest sand islands - you will discover it is one of Brisbane's favourite getaway spots.

Brimming with natural wonders, Moreton Bay is ideal for spotting dolphins, whales, turtles and manta rays, as well as a vast array of birdlife.

Local tours operators cater for all interests, with both adventure and eco-tours. You can even throw yourself into sports such as sailing, surfing, and quad biking.

North Stradbroke Island is one of the world's largest sand islands. North Stradbroke is a spectacular destination, popular with families, couples, nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Coochiemudlo Island is a beautiful sub-tropical paradise which small enough to walk or cycle around. Fishing from the shores of Coochie or from the jetty has resulted in many a fine catch.

Bribie Island is the only island connected to the mainland by bridge. This makes a day visit by car extremely easy and fast. Bribie is more developed than most other islands, and offers a wide range of activities and dining.

Southern Moreton Bay Islands are a cluster of four special islands in a sheltered haven featuring the best of Moreton Bay. Excellent fishing, swimming, boating, windsurfing and kayaking, and marine life can be found at Southern Moreton Island.
