Bundaberg is a progressive city surrounded by a patchwork of sugarcane fields and is the gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

Bundaberg is an ideal holiday centre with excellent holiday accommodation, attractions and entertainment. For visitors eager to explore the magnificent Great Barrier Reef and Lady Musgrave Island, day trips and overnight stays to the reef leave from here.

Located on the coast 14km east of Bundaberg, the Mon repos Turtle Rookery is a great place to visit where you can view Green, Flatback and the endangered Loggerhead turtles which nest on the beach.

Bundaberg features an easy going lifestyle and lies on the wide, deep Burnett River, popular as an Australian first port of entry for sea faring travellers and fishing charters.

The Bundaberg Rum Distillery offers tours of the production and samples of the rum or visit the Bundaberg Barrel home of ginger beer with interactive tours of its origins and production.
