Surrounded by an amazing landscape of pristine national parks and unspoiled beaches, Agnes Water boasts the most northerly surf break before the Great Barrier Reef.

Situated halfway between Bundaberg and Gladstone, and enjoying a beautiful sub-tropical climate, Agnes Water and the Town of 1770 are known as the birthplace of Queensland, one of Captain Cook's first landing sites in Queensland during his discovery voyage in 1770.

Part of the Discovery Coast, Agnes Water is perfect any time of year, with temperatures reaching a pleasant 21 to 30 degrees. The sister town of 1770, the sleepy town features several restaurants, supermarkets and specialty shops meaning you don’t have to leave the tranquillity.

Popular with the water enthusiasts the region features safe swimming beaches, surfing, sailing, pristine coral reefs for diving, Whale watching boat trips, bushwalking, fishing, four wheel driving, yachting and more. The local Museum is well worth a visit with lots of memorabilia from the local community.

Agnes Water boasts a range of accommodation options, from budget motels and self contained units through to seaside properties with million dollar views.
