Weather for Heron Island

Heron Island is a coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef and lies in the Tropic of Capricorn around 70 kilometres north of Gladstone.

This particular part of the reef is known for being one Australia’s top diving locations and supports approximately 72% of the coral species found on the Great Barrier Reef.

The island itself is a sanctuary for over thirty species of birds with breathtaking shore lines and rainforest tracks.
