Happy Valley is the most central eastern township on Fraser Island. It has a restaurant, bar, shop and fuel. Populated with banksia pandanus trees, Happy Valley has an ocean surf beach which is great for fishing and regular sightings of pods of humpback whales.
Being part of Fraser Island, one of the most amazingly pristine places in Australia, with its unusual formation of sand and rainforest developed over a period of 800,000 thousand years, the area is abundant with native flora and fauna. Theres over 230 species of birds to look out for, and 25 mammals including Australias purest dingoes, echidnas and wallabies.
Happy Valley is a great location for seeing Champagne Rock Pools, Indian Head, Eli Creek, Coloured Sands, Maheno, Lake McKenzie, Rainbow Gorge, Lake Wabby and Central Station.Photos

Stayed at Happy Valley Fraser sland during my trip up the coast to the Whitsundays - fantastic experience, would highly recommend to anyone - memoriable experience! Definitely worth a vist - if you have the opportunity definitely go for it!
