The Gold Coast is one of Australia’s premier holiday destinations. It is famous for its beaches, surf, theme parks, entertainment, shopping and hinterland and has been attracting Australian families for many decades.
Surfers Paradise is situated in the heart of the Gold Coast and is known for its high rise apartments, safe swimming and surf beaches, excellent nightlife and shopping. Popular theme parks are nearby including Movieworld, Seaworld, Dreamworld and Wet N’ Wild, the ideal day out for families and groups of friends.
An array of activities and attractions are available from scenic flights over stretches of sandy beaches and beautiful rainforest hinterland to shops, theatres and award winning restaurants. There is something to suit everyone with boat cruises along the waterways of Broadbeach and Mermaid Waters, sea kayaking adventures, fishing charters and whale watching tours.
Visit Mt Tambourine with its amazing glow worm caves, waterfalls and walking trails or go on a wine tasting tour in the Gold Coast Hinterland. World Heritage Listed Lamington National Park is situated at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and offers a tree top walk with magnificent views over the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast stretches from Beenleigh and South Stradbroke Island in Queensland down to the border with New South Wales at Coolangatta and the Gold Coast International Airport.Photos
