Burleigh Heads is situated mid way between Coolangatta and Surfers Paradise, known for its protected beach bordered by beautiful National Park and its Burleigh Barrel waves for excellent surf. The town is within easy reach of the lively nightlife to the north and the more relaxed family atmosphere of the southern beaches.

The setting for major international surfing tournaments such as the Quicksilver Pro, Burleigh Heads coastline provides beautiful beach walks with great picnic areas and BBQ facilities. Swimming is also safe on the patrolled beaches with nearby Nobby Beach, sometimes called Little Burleigh.

Walking trails can also be found at Burleigh Heads National Park where you can explore the flora and fauna with its Pandanus Palms and take in the amazing views from the top of Big Burleigh towards Surfers Paradise and over the ocean.

Spanning over 25 hectares, the rainforest arcs around to Tallebudgera Creek on the southern side of the Burleigh headland where there are camp sites, river beaches and boat ramps for fishing access.

The town has many cafes or restaurants to dine in as well as a great art and craft markets, held in Kurrawa Park, on the beachfront opposite the Oasis Shopping centre, on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month.
