Weather for Coolangatta & Currumbin

The southern stretch of the Gold Coast around Coolangatta and Currumbin boasts an excellent range of high rise resorts, great shopping facilities, superb restaurants and some of the prettiest beaches in South East Qld.

The area is easily accessed via public transport links and the Coolangatta/Gold Coast International Airport at Billinga.

Coolangatta is located at the border to QLD and NSW and has excellent restaurants, cafes and shopping at the Showcase Shopping Centre along Marine Parade. There are also markets on the second Sunday of every month.

The beaches are safe and patrolled in the summer with some excellent surf spots including Greenmount and Kirra Beach where surfing competitions are often held. Accommodation in this area ranges from budget campsites and hostels to luxury hotels and beachfront apartments.

Currumbin is a popular destination for young families with its water sport activities such as kayaking and kite surfing, beach rock pools and nearby wildlife park. The Currumbin Sanctuary is a popular attraction with its hands on approach where you can cuddle a koala and watch wildlife shows and displays.
