The stirring suburb of Carrara is situated just west of Broadbeach waters and south of Nerang. Close to the highway, there is great access to the venue that generates most of Carrara’s appeal, the Carrara Markets. With more than 500 stalls, the market attracts thousands every weekend.

Located close to Merrimac and on the edge of the Gold Coast Hinterland, there is a choice of two golf courses such as Lakelands and Palm Meadows as well as various other sporting venues. Don’t be surprised to look to the skies and see balloon rides floating over the green plains. The Aboriginal name "Karara" means long flat – still descriptive of the topography of this suburb.

Take the children to Merrimac’s Faerie Park, with a fairy garden, troll bridge and goblin’s cave. Or for something completely different, see a game of NRL at the stadium.

Carrara Stadium has a capacity of 18,000 plus an indoor sports centre. Premier training facilities have been used by the British Olympic team for pre-event training, Brazilian soccer teams have also visited.

Carrara is a centre for shopping, sporting and activity so close to the major Gold Coast sites. Carrara is only 11km to Surfers Paradise and other coastal suburbs.
