Jimboomba is a country town in the Beaudesert Shire Council Local Government Area. Jimboomba is also a rural centre with a wide range of facilities including fire and ambulance services, high school, primary schools, police station, medical-dental services and a domestic shopping centre. There are plans for Jimboomba to become an outer suburb of Brisbane in the future as it is near Logan City and also just a short drive south west of Beenleigh.

It has a small industrial area that provides services for irrigation and home-water supplies, landscape gardening, vehicles, light manufacturing and produce supplies.

Cattle grazing, dairy farming and hobby farms are the main industries. There are large numbers of horses kept on or near residential properties for riding, for pleasure and for competition.

Jimboomba is close to major suburbs and towns of the Gold Coast and Brisbane but is still far enough away to keep it’s country feel intact, this proximity is enjoyed by all visitors and locals alike.
