Coomera is one of the northern most suburbs of the Gold Coast. Almost touching the outer suburbs of Brisbane, Coomera is still only 30km north of Surfers Paradise. Once a sacred site for the Aboriginal tribes of the Gold Coast, Coomera has been occupied for thousands of years. Later, the suburb was a significant gateway for timber cutters and the horse mail run from Brisbane to Nerang.

Coomera is a centre for a range of attractions. It is the home of the famed Gold Coast Theme Parks. To the south, Wet n Wild, Paradise Country Aussie Farm Tour and Warner Bros Movie World are only 5 minutes away. In Coomera to the north, Dreamworld is right next to the highway with its wild rides and Australian themes.

Coomera is in great proximity to the whole coast and hinterland areas. Take a helicopter flight, head to bikeways, play golf, go cart racing or head to a winery.

Apart from the residential and tourist atmosphere, Coomera is a major boat construction precinct for exporters. Gold Coast City Marina features boat maintenance for larger vessels including super yachts.

For those with a smaller budget, there are boat ramps and fishing platforms where you can try to catch a mangrove jack, bream, flathead or trevally. Watch members of the local water sports club kayak, surf boat row or sail on the Coomera River.
