Ashmore is a residential suburb with a vast array of sports facilities. Ashmore is predominantly populated with families, couples and students and is a safe and pleasurable area. Sports involve the nearby golf courses such as the 18-hole Parkwood International Golf Course and Arundel Hills private Golf Course as well as football and soccer fields and tennis courts. Some of these venues host major golf and tennis events that attract international names.

Ashmore is home to Gold Coast city bikeway links, skating facilities and an award-winning accommodation park. The Gold Coast TAFE campus in this region. Griffith Universitys Gold Coast campus is only a short drive away and there are various public and private schools in the vicinity.

When study, school and work finish, most ashmore residents enjoy the tavern that has dining and nightclub facilities. Being only 9km from Surfers Paradise, Ashmore is in perfect position to enjoy the coastal tourism sites and is also close enough to the educational and business hubs of Bundall and surrounds. Ashmore provides the best of both worlds.
