Longreach; a legendary Outback town situated 30km west of Ilfracombe; is perhaps best known as the home of the Qantas Founders Outback Museum and Australian Stockmans Hall of Fame.

If you have ever dreamt of visiting our amazing Outback heartland, now is the time to roll up your swag and go bush!

The town is an access point to several awe-inspiring national parks, including the Lochern National Park and Welford National Park (but keep in mind theyre still over 100km away). It's the outback.

Closer to home however, Longreach has an excellent number of attractions to keep you busy. Theres Banjo's Outback Theatre & Pioneer Shearing Shed (Mar-Oct), the School of Distance Education and Longreach Powerhouse Museum.

Longreach has a wide range of accommodation options to choose from. Book a room in an old country pub and meet the locals, camp under the stars and breathe in the fresh night air, or enjoy the comfort of an air-conditioned motel.
