Jondaryan is an historic sheep station village centering on the 142 year old Jondaryan Woolshed, one of the largest and the oldest in Queensland. Town facilities include a hotel and a few shops.
The Australian Heritage Festival is held at Jondaryan annually in August. It is a display of traditional machinery and bush crafts from all over Australia. 34 historic buildings and displays from the local area can be enjoyed here.
Demonstrations of blacksmiths, working horses, shearing and damper making are featured. One of the largest collections of historical farm machinery, steam engines, tractors and horse drawn vehicles in Australia can also be enjoyed.
