A visit to the eclectic fishing village of Groper Creek is a highlight for any fishing enthusiast, as it boasts one of the largest river systems in Queensland.
The small fishing community is made up of a population of around 50 permanent residents, which balloons to over 300 in peak season. Many visitors come to take advantage of local fishing and crabbing. Also abundant are prawns, mud crabs, Barramundi, King Salmon and Mangrove Jack.
