The small, unique village of Yungaburra has remained mostly unchanged for 100 years. The locals, animals and atmosphere are welcoming and friendly with their laid back attitude, sure to make you return to this enchanting area.

Centrally located in the Cairns Highlands, or Atherton Tablelands as they are also known, Yungaburra is home to the 800 year old Curtain Fig Tree. On the 4th Saturday morning of every month, the Yungaburra Market is held in the main park opposite the Lake Eacham Hotel, from 07:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

The Yungaburra markets are this regions largest and boasts some 320 regular stallholders. They have showcased the regions produce, culture and crafts for over twenty-six years, selling everything you could imagine from jams to homemade outdoor furniture.

Yungaburra caters for those who enjoy truly magnificent dining experiences, with a choice of fine restaurants, sure to delight and excite your tastebuds.

Situated on the Atherton Tablelands, a visit to Yungaburra puts you in close proximity to many other beautful townships in the area such as Atherton, Malanda, Tolga, Mareeba, Ravenshoe and Milla Milla. A tour through this area is a true delight for the lush forest and farmland scenery, to acquire some local crafts, or indulge in the local culinary delights.
