El Arish is a tiny town situated on the Bruce Highway, just inland of pristine Mission Beach. Although the township is small, it is big on country hospitality and the simpler things in life. Stop through on your travels for lunch or a rest break and sample some of the local produce. Or why not traverse some of the surrounding areas and discover a secluded swimming hole or creek to fish from. The surrounding area is mainly farmland pastures with tropical fruit orchards, sugar cane and much more.

El Arish is a great little town that is still thriving with its own way of life that is far from the rat race of current society. Visit the historic El Arish Tavern with its Queenslander verandahs and a-la-carte dining, sit back, relax and savour the good old days.
