Weather for Silkwood

Silkwood is one of the many charming towns along the Bruce Highway between Mission Beach and Innisfail. Although Silkwood is small, said to have the smallest branch of the National Australia Bank in the country among other things, it makes up for its size in character and scenery.

Stop by and have lunch and a drink and chat with the friendly locals, peruse the quaint shop and dine in a café or eatery. After refuelling, why not see the surrounding coastal townships including Flying Fish Point, Etty Bay and Cowley Beach for endless fishing opportunities in undeveloped surrounds.

The renowned tropical fruit wineries are also a popular destination for visitors to the area. Sample a tropical fruit tipple or two as you hop from one cellar door to the next. Travellers a most welcome to taste and buy direct from the vineyards.
