Mount Barker is the largest town in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia and is also one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Mount Barker lies at the base of a local mountain of the same name, called the Mount Barker summit by locals. It is 50 kilometres from the Murray River. Mount Barker was traditionally a farming area.
