Weather for Leigh Creek

Leigh Creek is located 567 km north of Adelaide, 261 km north of Port Augusta and is a company town on the edge of the desert run by the NRG Flinders. The town supplies the nearby Leigh Creek open cut coal mine and provides modern amenities and housing for the workers and their families.

The original town was built on the coal seam 13kms to the north, so they moved the town and renamed it Leigh Creek South, or the present day Leigh Creek.

When in Leigh Creek, visit Arkaroola for beautiful scenery and rugged wild mountains. A ridge top tour in Arkaroola lets you see the wildest part of our Flinders Ranges.
