Berri has all the big attractions - from Berri Estates, the largest winery in Australia, to the notable Big Orange. A popular holiday town, 236 kilometres northeast of Adelaide, it has a range of shopping facilities, accommodation and restaurants.
Local produce outlets on the outskirts of town sell fresh fruits, dried fruits, fruit juices, chocolates, nuts and more. Dining options include a popular bush restaurant, fine dining restaurants and bistro eateries.
Just north of Berri is Monash, famous for the free-admission Monash Adventure Park. This is an amazing place, and great for young families and picnics, with barbecues and shady trees.
Glossop, to the west of Berri, has a small shopping centre, pottery and glass gallery and motel. Berri Estates is nearby. At Glossop the Winmante Arts Centre sells a range of authentic Aboriginal arts and crafts. You'll find them excellent value.
Accommodation in and around Berri ranges from four-and-a-half star accommodation to budget, including bed and breakfast, self-contained units, a caravan park near the river and a backpacker hostel. The multi-award-winning Berri Resort Hotel has panoramic views over the lawned riverfront and is a popular nightspot.
