Weather for Cressy

Cressy is a small town of 650 people, located 35km south-west of Launceston. Set amongst a sheep-farming district, it is close to the towns of Bishopsbourne, Bracknell, Liffey, Blackwood Creek, Poatina and Longford.

Cressy is a small, attractive, and historically significant town which came into existence in the 1850s to service the surrounding wheat farms. There are a number of old buildings that have been preserved around the tiny township. Of particular interest is Panshanger, a Tuscan villa built in the mid 1800s, Richmond Hill a brick Georgian house, Fairfield House and Mount Joy a beautiful Victorian timber house.

Cressy is known as Tasmania's 'Trout capital' for the good fishing in the area.
