Weather for Goshen

15 km from St Helens is the former town of Goshen. Originally it was spelled 'Goschen' by pioneers who named it after Goschen in Egypt, as described in the Bible. Goshen was a paperbark swamp, creating an irritating barrier for travellers making their way to the Blue Tier. Not many original buildings are evident today. The remnants of the Oxford Arms Hotel are visible beyond the roadside. Further along the bridge on the left Goshen school, now converted into a private residence can be seen.
