Barwon Heads is a quietseaside resort town on the western shores of the Barwon River. Renowned as the beautiful location for the popular Australian television series "Sea Change", Barwon Heads has become a popular spot for a relaxing seaside holiday.

The Barwon River is popular spot for a range of water sports including jet-skiing, boating and fishing, and the shallow sandy shoreline great for a relaxing dip. Just a few minutes away, along 13th Beach Road are the renowned surf beaches of the Bass Strait.

Barwon heads offer beautiful walking and cycling tracks taking you through Village Park and along Ewing Blyth Drive and Flinders Parade, and Barwon Heads golf club is one of the most scenic in Victoria with its outstanding coastal views.

To the north you will find the waters of Lake Connewarre and its protected wetlands rich with wildlife. Home to many endangered species of migratory bird, it is a perfect spot to bird-watch, or drop a line in the shallow estuarine waters that teeming with fish.

Across the river lies Barwon Heads twin-town Ocean Grove, the biggest town on the Bellarine Peninsula after Geelong.
