Weather for Koroit

Koroit is a character filled town nestled on the northern slopes of Tower Hill, an inactive volcano in south-western Victoria. Regarded as one of Australia’s most complete examples of early Irish settlement, this charming village has a rich cultural heritage and vibrant community spirit.

Koroit is also home to a small number of very popular events that are gaining a national reputation. These include the Koroit Irish Festival, Agricultural & Pastoral show, and Tarerer Festival - a celebration of indigenous culture with music, dance and film.

Situated in south-west Victoria, between Warrnambool and Port Fairy, Koroit is a short drive off the Princes Highway - Great Ocean Road. The Koroitgundidj people long inhabited this region of Australia and have lived in the area of Tower Hill since before recorded history.

The Visitor Information Centre (Koroit Country Bakehouse) is probably the best place to start your visit. There’s a range of printed brochures on offer, and Internet access also available.
