Majestic scenery, bike riding, walking, powered hang gliding, ultralight flying and scenic, light aircraft flights, skiing, horseriding, hang gliding, rock climbing and abseiling - Mount Buffalo National Park and towns of the Ovens Valley have it all!

An all-seasons park, Mt Buffalo has sheer cliffs, imposing granite tors, tumbling waterfalls, snow gums and stunning wildflowers. First reserved in 1898, the 31,000ha park contains vegetation and fauna adapted to extremes of weather, as a result of its sub-alpine location.

Nestled in the Ovens Valley, Myrtleford is blessed with the dramatic backdrop of Mt Buffalo. Myrtleford is an agricultural town situated in the foothills of the Mt Buffalo Range, adjacent the Ovens River. It is a local commercial centre for the district's timber, hops, tobacco and wine grape industries. It is a gateway to Mt Buffalo National Park and the ski resorts of the region.

Central to the Alpine National Park and within a short drive from the snowfields of Falls Creek, Mt Hotham and Mt Buffalo, Bright is a town of stunning natural beauty, historic buildings and gold rush mining sites.
