Weather for Falls Creek & Mt Hotham

Mount Hotham and Falls Creek are blessed with sheltered snow gum forests and mountain-top plains. In the warmer months, bushwalk, camp, 4WD, fish & horse ride in Alpine National Park.

Covering 646,000ha, the Alpine National Park is the largest park in the state. Linking with national parks in NSW and the ACT, this protected area almost covers Australia’s entire alpine environment. The snowfields are the primary winter attraction, with the warmer months revealing stunning wildflower displays.

Falls Creek offers a variety of ski runs with snow-making facilities throughout the season. Falls Creek is renowned for its fantastic skiing and European-style village. Popular for downhill, cross-country skiing and snowboarding, it has awesome ski fields covering 96ha suitable for all levels of skiing ability.

Mt Hotham is infamous for two major reasons. Firstly, it is Victoria's highest resort with an outstanding record of natural snowfall supplemented by state-of-the-art snowmaking facilities. Secondly it is the only ski resort in Australia with its own airport.

This alpine area offers some of the best ski runs, state of the art facilities and European style ski villages in Australia.
