Weather for Legends & Wine Country

Victoria's Legends & Wine Country is a beautiful area encompassing Wangaratta, Benalla, Rutherglen and Glenrowan. Surrounded by lakes, national parks, historic towns and fertile farmlands producing wool, wheat, hops and grapes.

Gateway to the Legends, Wine and High Country region, Glenrowan is 'guarded' by a 6m-high statue of a Ned Kelly clad in homemade armour and helmet, rifle in hand. The bloody siege and capture of the Kelly gang stands as perhaps the most famous episode of bushranger history in Australia.

The Beechworth region is in northwest Victoria in the foothills of the alps and has a cool and frosty sub-alpine climate.

Rutherglen is one of the oldest wine-growing areas in Australia, with fertile land and a mild climate.

Benalla is renowned for its beautiful and historic Botanic and Rose Gardens and set on Lake Benalla along the Broken River.
