Cowes, the main settlement on Phillip Island, is a beautiful seaside town 140km from Melbourne – via the bridge linking San Remo and Newhaven. Located at the top of Phillip Island, the town was the main ferry arrival point from the Australian mainland.
Cowes has boat launching facilities, various cruise vessels and affordable boat hire services. The ferry to Stony Point and French Island, as well as cruises to Seal Rocks all depart from the jetty.

Public Toilets are located on The Esplanade, at the end of Thompson Ave and at the end of Findlay Street. Also at the Anderson Street boat ramp and Red Rocks Point.
