The Shark Bay World Heritage-listed area is a spectacular stretch of coastline on the extreme coast of Western Australia. Encompassing pristine inlets and islands and home to some of Australia's most unique species of marine wildlife, the Shark Bay area is recognised as one of the most remarkable natural places on earth.
The crystal clear waters offer the opportunity to view the famous Monkey Mia dolphins dugongs, turtles, and manta rays right off the pristine white sandy beaches. If you are lucky enough to visit during the right time of year, humpback whales can be seen on their annual migration.
Lovely coastal villages are surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery at the Zuytdorp cliffs, Shell Beach and Cape Peron and unique natural phenomena such as the Hamelin Bay Stromatolites and Wooramel Seagrass Bank, habitat to many endangered species.Photos
