The home of the well known Australian author, Albert Facey is situated in the centre of Wickepin. This homestead was built in 1924 and has been fully restored and includes a wash-house, outside toilet and garden. The Albert Facey Trail brings the story to life and is a pleasant half day drive.
The small town of Yealering, 31 kilometres east of Wickepn is situated on the banks of the beautiful Lake Yealering. The lake supports an abundance of waterfowl and attracts people in summer for recreation sports. Don't miss the historic photographic collection at the general store.
Toolibin Lake is one of the last fresh water lakes in the southern hemisphere. Enjoy the walk trails, barbecue facilities and huge variety of birdlife at this unique lake. Harrismith boasts a wonderful wildflower walk trail near the townsite. Spring wildflowers are abundant in every bush reserve in the Wickepin area.
