Bindoon is located around an hours drive north of Perth, within the beautiful Chittering Shire.
An aboriginal name meaning place where yams grow, Bindoon features will beautiful vineyards, orange groves, wineries, farms, rolling hills with a river valley and many other attractions.
The town of Bindoon has an excellent bakery, good shopping facilities, an Arts & Crafts Centre and a museum which is open to the public. In the centre of town is the Chittering Visitor Centre where travellers can obtain information on local events and arrange accommodation and sightseeing.
The Chittering Valley Wine Trail covers a distance of some 70 kilometres from Lower Chittering to Gingin and includes seven wineries, each with their own unique character and style, each giving you an exceptional wine experience.
Most of the wineries offer light lunches or cheese and picnic platters and there is an excellent a la carte restaurant offering a unique regional food and wine experience. Friendly cellar door staff will welcome you and will be happy to share their local knowledge of things to see and do.
