The town Phuket itself is in the northwest of the district of Amphoe Mueang Phuket on the beautiful island of Phuket (Phuket Province).

Phuket town is popular with the budget conscious traveller due to its cheaper accommodation and shopping.

The Phuket Province (Phuket Island) is renowned for its spectacular scuba diving, and conditions perfect for sailing, jet skiing and chartered cruises, or simply relaxing and soaking up the sun.
