East Anglia is located to the north of London and is an ancient kingdom encompassing the countries of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. The region is rich in history, has Britains largest range of cathederals, superb churches, beautiful gardens, wineries and breweries and a coastline that features towering cliffs, unspoilt beaches and some of Britains best mudflats and saltmarshes. This stretch of coastline runs from The Wash (Englands largest tidal estuary) right up to the broad expanse of the River Thames.

If you are looking for culture, this area is filled with it. It has a diverse and vibrant visual arts scene, excellent theatres and fine galleries.

East Anglias heritage is rich and turbulent. The areas museums are filled with artifacts such as Roman mosaics and Queen Boudica's chariot. There are spectacular castles that were built in 1066 and there are well preserved monistic sites that date back to the 13th century.

The 400 kilometres of coastline is also steeped in history with amazing Forts, lighthouses and martello towers built to protect the area from Napoleons invasion.
