To say that Lavenham is the most picturesque village in all of Suffolk wouldn't be an overstatement. It is a tiny village and has only around 300 listed buildings. It is one of the finest medieval villages in England with its historic buildings and streets.
The village consists of art galleries, tearooms, quaint pink thatched cottages and timber framed houses. It is a well-preserved medieval village and is a must for those wishing to experience a slice of traditional English rural life.
The Guildhall in the village houses a permanent local history exhibition, if you want to find out more about the fascinating Lavenham this is a place not to miss.
