Aylsham is a quiet little market town in the centre of Norfolk. The town’s wealth was founded in the textile industry, it began with linen, and then wool. It is linked to by the Bure Valley Heritage Railway in what is an 18 mile round trip. Also on offer are tours where you combine a steam train journey with a cruise of the Broads.
There are many stately homes in the area one of which, the National trust property Blickling Hall, is said to be the birthplace of Henry VIII's wife, Anne Boleyn. Another site of interest is the chuch of St Michael and all the Angels.
Aylsham is right in the centre of a community of farms that are scattered around stunning, rural little villages set in a beautiful lush countryside.
