Covent Garden is just north-east of Trafalgar Square. This is where you will find the famous undercover market, though it is a far cry from the days when the hall was littered with traders selling fruit, veg and flowers.
If you enjoy shopping you will be in paradise in Floral Street it is a must for the fashion conscious, with Paul Smith, Agnes B, Diesel Style Lab, and Nicole Fahri amongst others lining the street; anyone with a shoe fetish should head to Neal Street, it is crammed with enough footwear stores to satisfy every taste.
Continue in a northeasterly direction towards Seven Dials and you will find yet more fashion stores, though the accent tends to be on more urban street wear, the Addidas concept store can be found in Earlham Street
As you would expect Covent Garden boasts enough bars and restaurants to satisfy the most diverse tastes, and London’s oldest restaurant, Rules, is situated in Maiden Lane. Covent Garden is full of fantastic street performers so if your on a budget don't be put off by all the expensive shops and retaurants it is still possible to have a great time in this wealthy end of town.
