Bordering Soho, Chinatown sits right in the centre of London's West End, between Leicester Square to the south and Shaftesbury Avenue to the north.
Chinatown seems to find its way into every big city and London, home to about 60,000 Chinese, is no different. The exotic smells linger along Gerrard Street and the neighbouring side streets.
Chinatown has plenty to offer tourists and locals alike, who come for some of the best Chinese food the capital has to offer as well as the markets and grocery and spice shops. Old Compton Street is the main high street in Chinatown and is the most prominent gay area in London.
